Widely known as BKF chairs in Argentina, the iconic Butterfly Chair was designed by three young architects by the names of Bonet, Kurchner and Ferrari-Hardoy in 1938. They were in turn, inspired by the Tripolina chair first used in North Africa by the Britsh and then the Italins in the 19th century.
Enormously popular worldwide and sold in the millions during the ‘50’s and ‘60’s, this classic chair remains a design icon, possessing that rare quality that makes an object or person, a single distinguishable entity – STYLE.
